Chipotle Workers File Overtime Lawsuit

Employees of the popular restaurant chain Chipotle have filed collective action lawsuits in Colorado and Minnesota to recover wages owed to them for hours they were required to work off the clock.

According to documents filed as part of the lawsuit, employees were clocked out at 12:30 a.m. but had to work past that time to finish cleaning the restaurant.  This practice resulted in several hours of unpaid work each week.  In addition, some employees said they had to attend mandatory meetings, without pay, before or after their shift and were even threatened with termination if they complained about working off the clock.
